Jack Garrett is the founder and principal designer at J.
E. Garrett. After building furniture as a hobby for over
thirty five years, alongside his career as a contractor
specializing in restoring historic homes, Jack's
reputation among both designers and contractors has been
firmly established. With the encouragement and
insistence of designers and his long-time clientele,
Jack began to design and build for the trade. He quickly
decided to focus exclusively on bathroom furniture as he
was able to offer furniture-quality vanities that
traditional cabinet makers were unable to produce.
Clients raved that the vanities were high quality pieces
of furniture designed to hold a basin, rather than embellished cabinetry.
Today, Jack Garrett continues to insist upon excellence throughout the design, construction, and finishing process. Beginning with a series of designer's studies, Jack draws upon his love of historic architecture to build and rebuild components of a new design in order to arrive at the final. From the solid construction to the last piece of hardware, quality is of paramount importance. The hand detailed finish is a confidential, eight step process that involves highlighting detail with an artist brush before the final sealer is applied. All craftsmen are trained to follow the J. E. Garrett methodology, and each piece is personally inspected by Jack Garrett before being shipped to its new home.
With a passion for beauty and an insistence upon quality, J. E. Garrett offers bathroom furniture that is sure to preside with elegance over any bathroom setting.
