Built in 1883, the Shackelford County Courthouse in Albany, Texas is one of the many gems that sit like proud diamonds around the state. All of the millwork in the courthouse was crafted in long leaf yellow pine from east Texas forests.
Artisan Michael Koepp, who was part of the 2001 courthouse restoration team used salvaged long leaf yellow pine for restoration accuracy.
Michael now builds the Shackelford Vanity exclusively for J. E. Garrett using aged pine and reproduced architectural elements modeled after those used in the courthouse restoration.

The result is a beautiful and truly unique piece of Texas history.
